Really, she had tried to shake off the idea of having to thank Levi for being a proper cat owner. Lena had managed to talk it out with Davin, there was only embarrassment left there but at least he knew she was grateful, so why couldn't she just own up and tell the detective why she was bringing him his favorite food?

"Is Detective Astor in?" It was a good thing it was still early, and that the station was pretty empty. To have someone she knew see her at the police station for unknown reasons - that would make everything worse. "I have a small package for him. Not - not like it's dangerous, it's only food. Unpoisoned f-" She winced and smiled at the guy behind the counter. "I'm making this worse, aren't I?"

"Please sit down for a moment, ma'am." The man looked undisturbed. "I'll see what I can do for you in a moment. Relax, please."
Siren Cove and the nature around it were so beautiful, Lena was going to miss it. That was all she could think of between the stabs of pain. Miss her family, miss the few friends she had (and made), miss her camera.
There had been a few better days before she woke coughing up blood again. The world twisting before her eyes and her senses all off-kilter. And somehow Lena had known that this really wasn't good.

TW talk of death, vomiting, pain )
There had been a time that Lena's birthdays were the party of the year in the Kaminski household. The entire house would be "booby-trapped" with little gifts and silly adventures, her brothers and parents all in on the fun. The night before her birthday, Lena would be absolutely unable to sleep, curl up in her bed and count sheep into their thousands.

Today wasn't her birthday and she had slept on top of Davin's chest instead of in her own bed, but the nerves were all the same. She kept running back and fro to pressure Davin into hurrying up, while at the same time she never wanted to reach the Kaminski family house and Jacob's detective agency that housed there. Because what if?

When Davin finally was around, Lena put her front paws on his calf and meowed. Lift me, there's going to be a huge dog soon. I hope you're too tall for him.

The ball of nerves inside her only grew. Okay, press the door bell, show me Jacob, show Jacob me. Shit, did they even bring the letter pages? What if he wasn't at home?

She shivered. It was really now or never.

Lena Kaminski is 22 years old and the youngest child of the Kaminski's. You may know her oldest brother, Jacob (
[personal profile] snoopsrus ). Like him, she's human. Or - close to becoming one again. Right now you might know her as Cinderella, a large, black, Norwegian Forest Cat.

  •  Lena is a local, been to/is in high school
  • Very curious and always wandering around with her camera
  • Loves outdoorsy things like swimming, hiking, (tree)-climbing, and so on
  • Will talk your ear off about photography if you'll allow her to

  • After coming back to human shape, she'll mistrust witches so some old/ex-friends being magic might be fun
  • But she'll still be fine with sirens (because Osha protected her and Osha is Lara's and Lara and Levi were good for her), and she loved making photographs of them in their full glory
  • She's going to need some patient people explaining to her how life's now
  • Whatever you can think of goes here
