Siren Cove and the nature around it were so beautiful, Lena was going to miss it. That was all she could think of between the stabs of pain. Miss her family, miss the few friends she had (and made), miss her camera.
There had been a few better days before she woke coughing up blood again. The world twisting before her eyes and her senses all off-kilter. And somehow Lena had known that this really wasn't good.
She left Jacob's house, their house. After finding each other again, he didn't deserve finding her dead. As a cat it would be cruel, if Lena would turn back - she knew the myths - it would be traumatizing. How could he explain his sister's dead body on his couch? No, it was better - and with this she cried, her throat hurting with every strangled meow - if she really disappeared this time.
Except the holiday cots near the water between the trees, the ones Lena had thought to be deserted, were lived in now. She even thought she smelled clay? Her senses were really going, and wasn't that a stupid worry right now. So she dragged herself further away (after another bout of vomiting, sorry house-owner) into the woods.
You could almost call it luck, how fast she fainted. It saved her from bones breaking, fur fading and shape changing.
Find Lena still as a suffering cat or a bleeding, naked, young woman.

She rolls onto her side and curls up. "'t Hurts?"

Slowly, the questions slip and slide into her brain. "Not the w- witches woods, right? N- not Grimhildes?"
